Bella is, without a doubt, the most despicable, nasty, mean-spirited, manipulative, selfish, cock-tease of a whore ever put into film. Let me explain why.

*Her relationship with Edward is never anything other than physical attraction. They do not connect on any level (I mean, how could they?) so they just stare longingly at each other. So when Edward leaves her (rather stupidly considering he KNOWS there’s another vampire that has vowed revenge on her), her reaction is completely stupid. She runs through the woods and collapses in exhaustion, forcing her father to bring out the dragnet to find her. And does she offer any explanation for her actions? No.

*For MONTHS she mops around, says nothing to anybody, pouts and whines and moans for a man she had a CRUSH on. Fine, you can be upset losing your first ‘love’, but after THREE MONTHS you can freakin get over it. And her father is getting no sleep since she keeps waking up in the middle of the night screaming in pain, I guess. She disappears for long stretches of time and, when she returns, does she give a reason for her disappearances? No. She shows up bruised and battered and bloody but only tells lies when he is honestly concerned about her.

*Her life is completely dependent on pining after these guys who inexplicably like her. She never thinks about the future, never considers doing anything for herself, no, all she wants to do is think of Edward, who is GONE! Why can she not accept that?

Not convinced yet? Here we go:

*She manipulates these guys that just want her to warm up to them, who just want to help her, into doing stuff for her. Take her out to the movies (the kind which make them uncomfortable but she doesn’t care), fix motorcycles, anything. It’s not even like a friend thing, where she says, ‘I can’t love you but I will be your friend.’ They’d accept that. No, she TEASES these guys, makes them think that she may just turn out to warm up to them, but she never does. It’s always, ‘Edward is the only one for me.’ WHY?! Take Jacob. He does all this crap for her, spends long periods of time and money fixing those damn motorcycles, and she doesn’t even thank him since:

*She’s freaking suicidal. This is the really stupid and really funny part of the movie. Since she NEEDS to see Edward and he, for some reason, only appears when she’s in danger, she goes out to put herself in dangerous situations. Does she spare any moment to think that maybe this is stupid, that her friends and family are worried about her? That maybe she is causing them distress and fear? No.

*Her petulant child-like mysogynistic mannerisms and neediness really becomes sociopathic. She whines like a child denied her favorite toy and shamelessly leaves trails of broken hearts and misery behind her. All these people who care about her never get word one of kindness or thanks from her. Think of Jacob, who just wants to be her friend, who she constantly teases with the golden carrot of maybe loving him (which, like Edward, never veers above the purely physical attraction).

*She cares nothing about the consequences of being turned into a vampire. Does she care that Edward doesn’t want her to be a monster like him because he cares about her? No. Does she care that its quite clear being turned into a vampire would break the truce between the werewolves and the vampires and put the Cullens and Blacks in constant danger? No. Does she care that maybe this life isn’t for her, that maybe she should be happy with what she’s freaking got? No.

*In fact, her reasons for becoming a vampire are completely selfish. It’s not because she wants to be with Edward, it’s because she doesn’t want to grow old like everyone else. ‘Oh no. I’ll get old while Edward stays his young dreamy self forever. That’s not fair. Why can’t I stay that way? Me, me, me, ME!’ In fact, this lack of care about Edward makes me think she’s only upset when he’s gone because maybe he’s happy WITHOUT HER, which ANYONE would be.

*She drops everything and flies out to *beep* Italy, never once telling her father where she’s going, why, or for how long. No, she just hops on the plane when a damn PHONE CALL would have solved everything. What if her father is worried about where she’s gone? What about all the time and worry and effort he will put into finding her? She doesn’t care, she needs Edward. Even Alice is more concerned about her father than her.

This girl is a God damn bitch. At least in the books she had the decency to try and explain her attraction, to give reasons why she might love him, and in New Moon she ATTEMPTED to move on. There is no evidence of that in this film. These books cannot translate. Bella is a horrible, horrible person.
