It’s just an extended pop music video. That’s it.

Wild Things is a masterpiece. Plain and simple. One of the greatest films of our generation. I’m sorry to be so cut-and-dry about this, but anyone who dislikes this movie is an idiot and doesn’t understand cinema.

This movie impacted me so deeply that as I walked out of the cinema, I tore off all of my clothes, and ran bare-assed to the closest thrift store I could find. From there I donned a completely new outfit that would henceforth identify me closer with those I felt similar to. I donned a ratty old fedora, a vintage 1970s graphic tee, a tight-fitting corduroy blazer, an even tighter-fitting pair of ratty women’s jeans, and a ratty old pair of Chuck Taylor sneakers. I also threw away my contact lenses and purchased a secondhand pair of obnoxiously large women’s bifocals. After walking out of the store, I realized that the ratty Chucks were far too mainstream and swapped them for an even rattier pair of Vans loafers. You can see two of my toes sticking out of the left shoe.

I am now enjoying my new life, embracing my true self. I listen to bands you’ve never heard of, and if you have heard of them I won’t listen to them anymore. I traded in my Pontiac for a rusted-out Civic hatchback. I stopped smoking Marlboro Lights and now smoke a pipe. Showers are overrated. So is religion. And meat. I think I just might be gay. No wait, I’m definitely bi. It doesn’t matter. Labels mean nothing to me anyways. Just don’t call me a hipster.

why don’t people see the beauty in this film? HOW?!! so underrated and under appreciated.
